Who handles your information

What we collect and why

Forms collect contact details, organisation details, your message or proposed contribution, and optional supporting files. Nominations include the need, location, people affected and available resources. Donation enquiries may include intended amount and donor details needed for follow-up.

Required fields enable the Foundation to assess and respond to your submission. Optional updates require a separate choice. Withdrawing that choice does not affect the handling of an enquiry already submitted.

Share only what is needed

Do not upload identity documents, medical records or sensitive information about other people. Obtain permission before sharing photographs or third-party documents. Where additional information is needed for receipting or verification, the Foundation will explain the follow-up process.

Access, service providers and reporting

Submission records and attachments are restricted to authorised administration. Necessary information may be shared with professional or delivery partners to assess or implement an agreed project. Hosting and storage providers process technical and submission data to operate the website; infrastructure may be located outside South Africa.

Public project reporting should avoid unnecessary personal information. Identifiable images and donor or partner recognition require appropriate permission.

Retention and security

Records are retained for the enquiry, project and any applicable legal or financial record-keeping needs. Ask the Foundation about the retention period for a particular record. Restricted access and submission safeguards are used; no website can promise absolute security.

Your choices and requests

You can ask to access or correct your information, withdraw optional update consent, or request deletion or restriction where applicable. Some information may need to be retained to meet legal duties. The Foundation may need to verify your identity before responding.
